The section of the RFA titled, FUNDS AVAILABLE, currently states that an applicant may request a project period of up to 5 years and a budget for direct costs of up to $250,000 per year. This amendment removes the cap of $250,000 for direct cost per year. All other aspects of the RFA remain unchanged, including the following budget related issues: The participating IC(s) intend to commit approximately $6 million in FY 2003 to fund 17-22 new and continuing grants in response to this RFA. Budgets proposed by applicants should be commensurate with the scope of the research proposed for the proposed project period.
