ADDENDUM:  DIABETES RESEARCH CENTERS (RFA-DK-01-001)

The purpose of this Notice is to announce a correction to RFA-DK-01-
001, "Diabetes Research Centers", which was published in the NIH Guide 
for Grants and Contracts dated February 22, 2001.  The RESEARCH 
OBJECTIVES section of the currently published RFA states:  "the pilot 
and feasibility program provides modest support (up to $100,000 direct 
costs per year for up to two years for each project) for new diabetes 
initiatives or feasibility studies."  This sentence is replaced with 
the following statement:  "Pilot and Feasibility studies can request 
up to $50,000 direct costs per year for two years ($100K direct costs 
in total per project).  In exceptional circumstances, such as clinical 
projects, up to $100,000 per year can be requested with prior approval 
of NIDDK staff."
