Purpose

This purpose of this Notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) is participating, effective immediately, in Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) PAR-21-168 "Summer Research Education Experience Program (R25 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)".

Section I. Funding Opportunity Description

NIDCR will support applications focusing on summer research experiences aimed at improving dental, oral, and craniofacial health and reducing oral health disparities through basic, translational, clinical, behavioral, and social science research. Programs are encouraged to include research experiences that incorporate data science approaches aimed at improving oral health. NIDCR strongly encourages participation by individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those from groups underrepresented in the biomedical and behavioral sciences in areas that align with the NIDCR mission and Strategic Plan.
