Purpose

NIDCR will hold a technical assistance webinar on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm Eastern Time for individuals interested in learning about NIDCR mentored research training opportunities in the NIDCR Intramural Research laboratories (Intramural Opportunities) and mentored research training opportunities supported under individual competitive grant programs (Extramural Opportunities).

NIDCR research training is intended to foster or enhance successful careers in dental, oral, and craniofacial research (https://www.nidcr.nih.gov/careers-training). The webinar will describe opportunities for individuals from high-school students to early career investigators. NIDCR Intramural Opportunities support short-term research experiences for high school, undergraduate and dental students, and mentored research training for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and dental clinical fellows. NIDCR Extramural Opportunities include competitive awards (e.g., Fellowships, Career Development and Career Transition Awards) to support mentored research training for predoctoral PhD and dual degree DDS/DMD-PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and early career research scientists.

Attendees will be able to ask questions during the webinar and are encouraged to submit questions in advance to leslie.frieden@nih.gov.

Participation in this webinar is optional and is not required for the application to an NIDCR Intramural Training Program or submission of a Fellowship, Career Development or Pathway to Independence Award application to NIDCR.
