Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to add the requirement for minimum effort per year for all PD/PIs.

Current Language:

All instructions in the SF424 (R&R) Application Guide must be followed.

Specifically, NIDCR is excluding from consideration individuals who have received:
1) NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant (R21) support from any NIH Institute or Center, and 2) More than one Small Grant for New Investigators (R03) funded by NIDCR. Any PD/PI who has already received funding for two NIDCR Small Grants for New Investigators (R03) is not eligible.

NIDCR requires that each Project Director/Principal Investigator (PD/PI) commits a minimum of 2.4 person months per year to the R03 project, which must be indicated on the personnel justification page of the application. All PD/PIs of MPD/MPI applications must each commit 2.4 person months per year to the R03 project..

Specifically, NIDCR is excluding from consideration individuals who have received:
