Release Date: April 11, 2013
National Institute on Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR)
Beginning with the February 12, 2014 application due date, NIDCR will reduce the application window for the PAR-12-283 "NIDCR Dentist Scientist Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00)" from 5 to 4 years of postdoctoral research training experience since the most recent doctoral degree. All applications to the NIDCR Dentist Scientist K99/R00 program, both new (-01) and resubmission (-A1), must conform to the eligibility criteria outlined in this Notice, namely no more than 4 years of postdoctoral research experience since the most recent doctoral degree at the time of submission. This is consistent with the announced changes to eligibility for the NIH Pathway to Independence Award (Parent K99/R00) Funding Opportunity Announcement as described in NOT-OD-13-050. Note that all other provisions of the NIDCR K99/R00 program will remain the same as described in PAR-12-283. The NIDCR will accept late resubmission (-A1) applications from applicants who are no longer eligible to apply for the March 12, 2014 application due date, i.e. applicants with more than 4 years of postdoctoral experience. Late -A1 applications will be due no later than December 12, 2013 by 5:00 P.M. local time of the applicant organization. This late resubmission due date is available only to individuals whose eligibility ends prior to the March 12, 2014 due date.
