Effective Date of New Policy: April 1, 2008
The purpose of this Notice is to announce the availability and implementation of the "NIDCR Clinical Terms of Award” policy. The policy requires that all clinical research and clinical trials conducted under grants and cooperative agreements supported by NIDCR are well designed, conducted with rigor, monitored commensurate with risk and complexity, and that the Institute is kept informed of study progress through reporting.

The Clinical Terms of Award will be incorporated into both new and competing Notices of Grant Award.
