PRACTICE-BASED RESEARCH NETWORK TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CONFERENCE

NIDCR will hold a technical assistance pre-application informational 
conference on February 4, 2004, from 1 PM until 5 PM Eastern Standard 
Time (EST) for investigators planning to submit applications in 
response to Request for Applications (RFA) DE-05-006, "General Dental 
Practice-Based Research Network."  The meeting will be held in Balcony 
A of the Natcher Conference Center on the NIH campus.  The meeting will 
also be broadcast via the World Wide Web with e-mail interaction 
capabilities to handle questions and comments.  This meeting will 
provide prospective applicants with an opportunity in a public meeting 
to receive answers to their questions about the RFA.  NIDCR staff 
representing the Division of Population Sciences and Health Promotion 
and the Division of Extramural Activities will be available to answer 
questions relevant to technical aspects, peer review criteria, and 
grants management.  Staff will be available to discuss the intent and 
requirements of the RFA.  The complete text of the RFA is available at

Potential applicants may participate in the meeting in person at the 
Natcher Conference Center on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD, or via the 
webcast with e-mail interaction to handle questions and comments.  
Please note that space in the Balcony A meeting room is limited so 
early registration is recommended.  The webcast can be viewed on 
February 4, 2004, starting at 1 PM EST at http://videocast.nih.gov.  
Questions and comments can be sent during the meeting via the Live 
Event Feedback Form at http://videocast.nih.gov/livefeedback.asp. These 
inquiries will be answered during the meeting so all participants will 
hear the question/comment and the NIDCR response. Registration is 
required for participation in this technical assistance conference 
either in person or via the web.  Participants may register with Ms.

institutional affiliation, and e-mail address.  The deadline for
