Release Date: October 20, 2005
National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), (http://www.nidcd.nih.gov)
The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) announces a change in the submission Guidelines for NIDCD Research Core Centers (P30), effective immediately:
No new submissions for NIDCD P30 Research Core Centers are being accepted by NIDCD after the October 1, 2005 deadline, until further notice. Competitive renewal applications for existing NIDCD P30 grants; applications for supplements; and amended applications from prior review will continue to be accepted at the standard deadline dates.
Funding for this program is being reduced because of current budgetary constraints, and to allow supporting other priorities for NIDCD. (Relevant notices in the NIH Guide for the NIDCD P30 program are from September 26, 2003: https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-DC-04-001.html, with Translational Research attention added on November 24, 2004: https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-DC-05-001.html)
Those institutions with substantial breadth in neuroscience are encouraged to look over the new announcement ( September 29, 2005 ) for Neuroscience Blueprint Interdisciplinary Core Grants, available at https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-NS-06-003.html.
Inquiries about NIDCD P30 applications should be directed to
