Purpose

The purpose of this notice is to inform applicants about a correction regarding the eligibility of foreign institutions in PAR-24-297 - Imaging - Science Track Award for Research Transition (I/START) (R03 Clinical Trial Optional). 

The notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) has been revised to clarify that foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed. As a result, Part 2. Section III. Eligibility Information has been updated as follows (changes are italicized and underlined):

1. Eligible Applicants

Foreign Organizations

The NOFO currently states:

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations) are eligible to apply.

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are eligible to apply.

Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.

The NOFO has been modified to read (changes in underlined bold italics):

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations) are eligible to apply.

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are eligible to apply.

Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed.

All other aspects of this NOFO remain unchanged.
