Issued by

Purpose

This Notice is to inform potential applicants of an error in the Notice of Correction, NOT-DA-20-075 "Notice of Correction to PAR-20-225, "Avenir Award Program for Genetics or Epigenetics of Substance Use Disorders (DP1 Clinical Trial Optional)" from the funding opportunity announcement PAR-20-225, "Avenir Award Program for Genetics or Epigenetics of Substance Use Disorders (DP1 Clinical Trial Optional)".

NOT-DA-20-075 incorrectly listed the five-year total direct cost as $3.5 million. The five-year total direct cost listed in PAR-20-225 is correct at $1.5 million. Applications must request no more than $300,000 direct costs per year for up to five years with a five-year total direct cost limit of $1.5 million.

The intended correction in NOT-DA-20-075 noting that a detailed budget is not requested and will not be accepted is correct. PAR-20-225 does not allow for and will not accept a detailed budget.

In light of this error, NIDA will extend the application due date for the October 19,2020 submission date. The new application due date is: November 2, 2020.
