On May 2, 2005, the Office of Public Health Research, CDC, issued a Request for Applications entitled, RFA-CD-05-109 “Centers of Excellence in Public Health Informatics” that is available at https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-CD-05-109.html. This Notice is to inform the scientific community that the OPHR is amending RFA-CD-05-109 , “Centers of Excellence in Public Health Informatics” to help clarify:

1. Funding amount available
2. Number of awards to be made
3. Duration of awards
4. Approximate funding range

• OPHR intends to commit approximately three million dollars in total costs in FY 2005 for these Centers of Excellence in Public Health Informatics.
• OPHR intends to fund one to three new Centers of Excellence in Public Health Informatics in response to this RFA.
• An applicant may request a project period of up to three (3) years .
• Awards will range from approximately 1 million to 1 .5 million in total costs per year for no more than three years.
