Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Cancer Institute (NCI) is participating, effective immediately, in Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) RFA-NS-24-041, “NIH HEAL Initiative: Coordinated Approaches to Pain Care in Health Care Systems (UG3/UH3 – Clinical Trial Optional)”.

Part 2. Full Text of Announcement, Section I. Notice of Funding Opportunity Description

National Cancer Institute (NCI)

NCI invites applications relevant to the priorities described in this NOFO and that support the National Cancer Plan. NCI is interested in research applications that will advance coordinated care approaches to improve pain management of people with cancer. Of specific interest are multidisciplinary research projects relevant to health care delivery targeting cancer pain and neuropathy, implementation science methodology related to cancer care delivery in the context of pain control, and trials to embed coordinated cancer pain care models into health care systems. Relevant applications will also meet the responsiveness criteria described in RFA-NS-24-041.
