Purpose

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) will hold a pre-application webinar on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 1:00–2:00 PM (EDT) for the recently published Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) PAR-24-274, entitled "NCI Research Specialist (Clinician Scientist) Award (R50 Clinical Trial Not Allowed).”

NCI staff members will provide orientation and programmatic guidance to potential applicants by explaining the goals and objectives of the R50 program and answering questions from attendees. All potential applicants are encouraged to attend the webinar. The recording of the webinar will be made available on: https://www.cancer.gov/about-nci/organization/ccct/funding/clinician-scientist-awards. Participation in the webinar, although encouraged, is optional and is not required for the submission of an application in response to the NOFO.

Potential applicants are encouraged to submit their questions in advance to molly.maher@nih.gov.

Note: Questions about the scope of the NOFO will be addressed during the webinar; however, questions about investigators' specific study aims will not be addressed in the webinar and can be directed to one of the points of contact for this NOFO.
