Purpose
The purpose of this Notice is to inform current NCI Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition awardees that NCI has updated the salary levels for K00 recipients. The new salary levels are posted on the F99/K00 program website: The NCI Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Award (F99/K00).The NCI Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Award (F99/K00) supports outstanding Ph.D. and other research doctoral candidates to complete their dissertation research training (F99 phase) and transition in a timely manner to mentored, cancer-focused postdoctoral career development research positions (K00 phase).
Recipients who applied under any previous NCI F99/K00 announcement and have an institutional base salary that exceeds the previous K00 salary cap may submit a request to NCI for a salary increase up to the revised levels. For requests that are approved, NCI will make mid-year adjustments to the salary level.
This Notice impacts applicants to RFA-CA-19-057, "The NCI Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Award (F99/K00)" and awardees from its predecessor RFAs: RFA-CA-19-002, RFA-CA-18-001, RFA-CA-17-014, and RFA-CA-16-005.
