Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to inform potential applicants about a clarification regarding eligibility information for RFA-CA-19-034 " Feasibility and Planning Studies for Development of Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPOREs) to Investigate Cancer Health Disparities (P20 Clinical Trial Optional)". Specifically, the change pertains to "foreign components" on the applications, which are allowed for the remaining application submission rounds.

The correction applies to Section III., Subheading, "Eligible Applicants", the bullet under eligible Foreign Institutions that currently reads:

  • Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.

This bullet is now corrected to read:

  • Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed.

This change applies for all applications to be submitted to the second, third, and forth receipt dates listed in RFA-CA-19-034 (i.e., October 18, 2019, June 19, 2020, and October 18, 2020).

All other aspects of RFA-CA-19-034 remain unchanged.
