Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to change the Eligibility Information for Foreign Institutions in PAR-14-260, "Interventions for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention in Native American Populations (R01).”

The following section of PAR-14-260 has been revised:

Part 2. Section III. Eligibility Information, 1. Eligible Applicants

Foreign Institutions

Currently reads:

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.

Modified to read:

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed.

Specifically, applicants are only allowed to include Foreign components when the ancestral catchment area(s) of tribe(s) cross(es) national boundaries.

All other aspects of PAR-14-260 remain the same.
