The purpose of this Notice is to clarify and revise the Research Objectives in PA-08-267, “Exploratory Studies in Cancer Detection, Diagnosis, and Prognosis (R21).”

Applications focused on imaging research are not appropriate for this announcement. However, applications involving studies that are focused on the development of diagnostic, prognostic, and/or predictive markers and that contain a very minor non-human imaging component are appropriate.
