The National Cancer Institute originally was not a participant in the Program 
Announcement (PA), number PA-99-087, published in the NIH Guide on April 13, 
1999 for the Mentored Quantitative Research Career Development Award using the 
K25 grant mechanism.  The NCI wishes to inform the applicants that it will 
participate in this PA for all future grant application receipt deadlines 
beginning with the June 1, 2000 deadline.
