Purpose

The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) seeks input on the discussion draft of the NCCIH Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2016-2021, which is available at https://nccih.nih.gov/about/strategic-plans/2016.

Background
Earlier, NCCIH sought public input on research areas and topics to be included in its new strategic plan (NOT-AT-15-006). Comments, suggestions, and recommendations received in response to that Request for Information (RFI), along with input from the National Advisory Council for Complementary and Integrative Health and NCCIH staff, were considered during development of the draft Plan.

Information Requested
This RFI is intended to gather broad public input on the draft NCCIH Strategic Plan for FY 2016 2021. While feedback is welcome on any part of the draft document, comments on the five strategic objectives and the six high priorities topics are encouraged. The NCCIH invites input from researchers, health care providers, patient advocates and health advocacy organizations, scientific or professional organizations, Federal agencies, and other interested members of the public. Organizations are strongly encouraged to submit a single response that reflects the views of their organization and membership as a whole.

How to Submit a Response
Responses to this RFI must be submitted via the Web-based form available at nccih.nih.gov/Strategic-Plan/RFI. Responses will be accepted through April 15, 2016.

Responses to this RFI are voluntary. Please do not include any personally identifiable or other information that you do not wish to make public. Proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should not be included in your response.

This request is for information and planning purposes only and should not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the United States Government. Neither the NCCIH nor the NIH will make any awards based on responses to this RFI, nor will the NCCIH or the NIH otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted or for the Government's use of such information.
The NCCIH will use the information submitted in response to this RFI at its discretion and will not provide comments to any responder's submission. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s).
