Purpose

This notice is to clarify the eligibility requirements for Funding Opportunity Announcement PAR-09-066, Partnerships for Complementary/Alternative Medicine (CAM) Clinical Translational Research (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-09-066.html).

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) issued this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) with the goal of continuing to strengthen multidisciplinary collaborations and build CAM clinical translational research capacity across the CAM research enterprise. 

PAR-09-066 states that no institution may receive NCCAM funding simultaneously for more than one PCCTR award, that no institution may receive NCCAM funding simultaneously for a PCCTR and a DCRC award, and that only one PCCTR application per applicant institution may be submitted at any given time.

An institution that currently participates in a PCCTR or DCRC award as a subcontractor may submit a new PCCTR application if: 1) the proposed research program would develop (a) new partnership(s) with institutions not party to existing PCCTR or DCRC awards; and 2) the participating component(s) of the applicant institution are distinct from those components currently funded by subcontract under a PCCTR or DCRC award.

Letter of Intent

Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a letter of intent, as described in PAR-09-066.
