In addition to the interests of NCCAM and NCI outlined in RFA-AT-004 and RFA-AT-005, NCI is interested in applications addressing the mechanisms of action of nutrients, bioactive food components and various CAM approaches with immune modulating activities that might be used alone or in combination with conventional or experimental anticancer therapies for the prevention or treatment of cancer, the improvement of quality of life or the amelioration of cancer-related symptoms or treatment-related side-effects.  Such CAM approaches would include, but are not limited to the following: botanical agents, exercise approaches, and mind-body approaches
