This Notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) will continue to participate in the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) PA-10-122 "SHIFT Award: Small Business Helping Investigators to Fuel the Translation of Scientific Discoveries [SBIR: R43/R44]" through the new expiration date, January 8, 2014. However, it is not the intent of NIAMS to support clinical trials through this FOA. Applicants who wish to submit clinical trials applications to the NIAMS are encouraged to utilize one of the NIAMS FOAs listed on the Policies and Guidelines for Investigator-Initiated Clinical Trials website.
