Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to inform the extramural community of the early expiration of PAS-19-097, Research to Advance HBV Cure: HIV/HBV Co-Infection and HBV Mono-Infection (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) effective January 8, 2020 . Applications will no longer be accepted in response to this FOA after the January 7, 2020 AIDS Due Date. The Key Dates section of the FOA has been modified to change the Expiration Date from January 8, 2022 to January 8, 2020.

Following the expiration of PAS-19-097, NIAID intends to publish a new Funding Opportunity Announcement focused solely on HIV/HBV co-infection, which will be released in advance of the next AIDS Due Date, May 7, 2020. Investigators interested in NIAID HBV mono-infection funding opportunities are encouraged to contact Dr. Rajen Koshy (contact information provided in the Inquiries section).
