Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to alert potential applicants to a change in the expiration date for Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) PA-17-278 "HIV and Hepatitis B Co-Infection: Advancing HBV Functional Cure through Clinical Research (R21)”. This FOA will expire on January 8, 2019 (earlier than previously published); the last date that NIAID, NCI and NIAAA will accept applications for PA-17-278 is January 7, 2019. After January 7, 2019, applicants may apply to the new NIAID FOA, PAS-19-097 “Research to Advance HBV Cure: HIV/HBV Co-Infection and HBV Mono-infection (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)”.
