Long-term projects and projects designed to increase knowledge in a well-established area should be submitted through the Research Project Grant (R01) mechanism. A parallel FOA of identical scope, PAR-08-206 (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-08-206.html) Investigations on Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases (R01) , is soliciting applications under the R01 award mechanism.
