Effective immediately, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) accepts investigator-initiated research project (R01) grant applications, including biodefense and emerging infectious diseases applications, only through PA-07-070 (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-07-070.html ).

R01 applications may no longer be submitted in response to PA-04-119, BIODEFENSE AND EMERGING INFECTIOUS DISEASE RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES (http://grants2.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-04-119.html ). Program project (P01) applications are still accepted in response to PA-04-119.
