This Notice is to inform the scientific community that the NIAID is amending Program Announcement PA-04-119, BIODEFENSE AND EMERGING INFECTIOUS DISEASE RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-04-119.html) in order to remove the Exploratory/Developmental Research Project (R21) Grant from the types of grants supported under PA-04-119.

Biodefense research remains a research priority of the NIAID. Biodefense R21 applications should be submitted electronically in response to PA-06-181, NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant Program (Parent R21) (http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-06-181.html).
