The Division of AIDS (DAIDS) of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) announces that effective immediately, applications will no longer be accepted by NIAID in response to Program Announcement PAR-03-138, Novel HIV Therapies: Integrated Preclinical/Clinical Program http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-03-138.html, which appeared in the NIH Guide on June 12, 2003. The final receipt date for applications to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is November 17, 2005.

Applications in response to this PA will continue to be accepted by the Center for Mental Health Research on AIDS (CMHRA) at NIMH through November 17, 2005. Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the NIMH Program representative to ensure that the proposed research project is within the scope of CMHRA/NIMH research objectives.

The purpose of this program announcement is to assist researchers interested in HIV therapeutics development to assemble the diverse scientific expertise and resources needed to translate basic laboratory discoveries to applied entities.
