The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is amending RFA-AI-04-039 (http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-AI-04-039.html) as follows:

1. The NIAID Bioinformatics Integration Support Contract (BISC) has been awarded. Please see the following website for further details: http://www.niaid.nih.gov/research/bisc.htm.

2. BISC will be a collaborative partner with the Principal Investigator (PI) of each award in statistical analysis and data management issues. The PI will retain control over the data and analysis.

Applicants are encouraged to contact NIH program staff well in advance of the application submission date to discuss the proposed research program. While discussion with program staff does not ensure funding, staff will be able to determine responsiveness to this RFA and provide appropriate guidance as needed.
