The purpose of this Notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Institute on Aging (NIA) will hold two informational pre-application webinars for Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) PAR-23-258, “Analytical and Clinical Validation of Biomarkers for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and AD-Related Dementias (ADRD) (U01 Clinical Trial Optional)" on Thursday, September 14, at 1:00 PM ET and Thursday, September 21, at 1:00 PM ET.
The overarching goal of PAR-23-258 is to accelerate the establishment of effective and reliable biomarkers of AD/ADRD for use in medical product development, clinical trials, and/or clinical practice. The NOFO supports rigorous analytical and/or clinical validation within a specified Context of Use (COU), and utilizes the milestone-driven U01 Research Project-Cooperative Agreements funding mechanism.
