Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Institute on Aging (NIA) will hold a pre-application technical assistance live webinar regarding applications for RFA-AG-24-009 on April 19, 2023 at 4 p.m. Eastern Time.

RFA-AG-24-009 invites applications for the Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementias (ADRD) Real-World Data (RWD) Platform initiative. This Platform aims to transform the AD/ADRD research enterprise by serving as a central hub of research access that seeks to: 1) improve applicability and generalizability of findings through larger datasets that include more diverse populations; 2) capture more complete information through linking a variety of data sources; 3) increase the speed at which scientific questions can be answered; and 4) improve researchers’ ability to answer questions that cannot be feasibly or readily answered via clinical trial.

The live webinar will address questions submitted by participants prior to and during the webinar. Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to submit questions prior to the webinar to [email protected]. Please indicate "RFA-AG-24-009 Webinar" in the subject line of the email. Questions posted during the live session can be submitted through the chat feature.

Potential applicants interested in participating in the webinar should register using this link. Webinar connection information will be provided to registered participants.

The webinar is optional and is not required for submission to the NOFO.
