Purpose
This Notice clarifies four aspects within the Purpose section of NOT-AG-19-007, "Notice of Special Interest: High-Priority Research Topics for PAR-19-071 ."
- The first sentence of NOT-AG-19-007 is modified to reflect that PAR-19-071 does not accept applications that propose clinical trials.
- Currently reads:
- This Notice of Special Interest specifies two high-priority topics of interest for PAR-19-071 "Research on Current Topics in Alzheimer's Disease and Its Related Dementias (R21 Clinical Trial Optional)".
- Modified to read:
- This Notice of Special Interest specifies two high-priority topics of interest for PAR-19-071 "Research on Current Topics in Alzheimer's Disease and Its Related Dementias (R21 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)".
- The following sentence is removed from the end of the Purpose section of NOT-AG-19-007: "Applications that either propose clinical trials or do not propose clinical trials may be considered a high priority." PAR-19-071 does not accept applications that propose clinical trials.
- The Purpose section contains general guidance on use of the Agency Routing Identifier field (box 4B). This Notice adds more specific instructions.
- Currently reads:
- Submissions should indicate that they are in response to NOT-AG-19-007 in Field 4.b on the SF 424 form.
- Modified to read:
- For funding consideration, applicants must include NOT-AG-19-007 (without quotation marks) in the Agency Routing Identifier field (box 4B) of the SF424 R&R form. Applications without this information in box 4B will not be considered for this initiative.
- This Notice amends the Purpose section by adding the following sentence:
- The first application due date relevant to this Notice of Special Interest is July 9, 2019.
All other aspects of NOT-AG-19-007 remain unchanged.
