Purpose
The purpose of this Notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Institute on Aging (NIA) will participate, effective immediately, in the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) PAR-18-881, "Short-term Mentored Career Enhancement Awards in Mobile and Wireless Health Technology and Data Analytics: Cross-training at the Intersection of Behavioral and Social Sciences and STEM Disciplines (K18 Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed)".

NIA encourages submission of applications fitting this FOA that are related to Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease related dementias (AD/ADRD), including age related cognitive impairment. The field has until recently, included limited work in mobile and wireless technology, but this is changing rapidly. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review recommendations from the most recent Alzheimer’s Summit, such as:
