National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases The Division of Extramural Activities (DEA), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) has a requirement for comprehensive scientific, technical, and administrative services from a contractor with extensive NIH experience to improve and facilitate the performance of DEA"s responsibilities for Internet and intranet site development and maintenance, for the conduct of scientific peer review, for development of new and improved records management systems for grant and contract related information, and for other scientific, technical and administrative tasks. Because the contractor will need to work regularly at NIH and all contractor staff will need to meet regularly with and work cooperatively with DEA staff, the contractor (and subcontractors and consultants, if any) must be located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. It is anticipated that a single cost reimbursement, completion type contract will be awarded with incremental funding over a period of four (4) years. Request for Proposals (RFP) NIH-NIAID-DMID-00-28 will be available electronically on or about April 21, 1999, and may be accessed through the Internet on the Contract Management Branch Homepage, located at http://www.niaid.nih.gov/contract/. Responses to this RFP will be due by 4:00 pm on June 23, 1999. Any responsible Offeror may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the Government.
