ROLE OF THYMOSIN BETA-4 IN WOUND HEALING Release Date: February 26, 1999 RFP AVAILABLE: NO. NIH-NIDCR-12-98-2R P.T. National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) has a requirement for the conduct of a controlled Phase I clinical trial of the efficacy of thymosin beta-4 on healing of patients with pressure ulcers. The contractor will be required to recruit a minimum of 40 patients with non-healing, chronic, pressure ulcers of at least three months. The objective of the study is to have thymosin beta-4 tested for its ability to effect wound repair in venous ulcers, which are the most common form of chronic wounds.
