SYNTHESIS AND DISTRIBUTION OF OPIOID AND RELATED PEPTIDES NIH GUIDE, Volume 24, Number 36, October 13, 1995 RFP AVAILABLE: N01DA-6-7053 P.T. 34 Keywords: Chemical Synthesis Peptides National Institute on Drug Abuse The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations having the capability to produce, store and distribute labeled and unlabeled opioid peptides and related compounds. These may include, but are not limited to, unlabeled tritium or I-125 labeled opioid peptides and related compounds. Compounds shall be maintained in adequate amounts and purity and shipped as designated by NIDA. Offerors must possess adequate facilities and equipment, and have extensive experience with solid phase peptide synthesis, purification and characterization of peptides in general, and opioid peptides in particular. It is anticipated that a five-year, incrementally funded, cost-reimbursement, completion-type contract will be awarded with five one-year options. This is a continuation of work under NIDA contract N01DA-1-7302 with Multiple Peptide Systems in San Diego, California. Estimated issuance date of Request for Proposals (RFP) No. N01DA-6-7053 is October 16, 1995; responses are due to be received in the contracting office approximately 45 calendar days thereafter. Requests for a copy of the solicitation will be honored if received within thirty calendar days after the scheduled issuance date. Requests received after this period will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted; however, there is no assurance that copies requested after the 30th day will reach the requestor before the due date for receipt of responses.
