NCI ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTORY OF RESEARCH TOOLS AND SERVICES FOR CANCER RESEARCHERS

National Cancer Institute

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is excited to introduce the NCI 
Research Resources website (http://cancer.gov/resources).  This one-of-
a-kind directory has over 100 entries, including specimen banks, 
datasets, computer software, repositories of chemicals, and more.  The 
NCI Research Resources website is integral to NCI’s commitment to 
provide basic, clinical and epidemiological researchers with tools and 
resources to facilitate cancer research.  These NCI-developed products 
and services are available without extensive negotiations or 
intellectual property issues.  The NCI Research Resources website was 
developed to better enable access to these resources and to promote 
their use by the scientific community.  

The NCI Research Resources directory is not a source of funding 
information.  For a comprehensive list of NCI funding opportunities, 
including grants and contracts, please visit 
(http://deainfo.nci.nih.gov/funding.htm).  Inquiries regarding NCI 
funding information may be directed to the staff listed on the 
individual announcements.
