Deadline has been Extended and the Eligibility has been Revised for the USAID-NIH initiative: Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) Health

Purpose

This Notice is to inform the NIH global health community that the deadline has been extended for the Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) Health applications and now aligns with the solicitation for proposals from Indonesia. Pre-proposals for both solicitation tracks are now due October 26, 2012 at 11:59 PM (U.S. Eastern Daylight Time).

Additional Changes include:

  • Employees of locally-based nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in the eligible countries may not be PIs, but are encouraged to partner with researchers based at eligible institutions and may receive limited PEER Health grant funds through their partner PIs.

  • Applicants from eligible lower-middle income countries are required to demonstrate matching funds, but the 1:1 requirement has been removed. The eligible lower middle income countries are: Cameroon, Cote d Ivoire, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Sudan, Yemen and Zambia. There is no matching requirement for the remaining eligible countries.
