Purpose

The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) will conduct a technical assistance webinar on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) for those interested in participating in the NCATS Translational Science Education and Training Challenge.

The Challenge will identify, amplify and disseminate exemplary models of translational science education and training from across the nation to a broad national audience. Participants will have already designed and implemented exemplary translational science education and training opportunities that have the potential for broader dissemination. Submissions for the first round of this competition are due on April 30, 2025. The Challenge is described in further detail at https://ncats.nih.gov/funding/challenges and on Challenge.gov.

During the webinar, NCATS staff will provide an overview of the Challenge competition and answer questions from prospective participants.

All prospective submitters are invited to attend and are strongly encouraged to send relevant questions ahead of time, and no later than Wednesday, January 22, 2025, to: NCATSEducationandTrainingChallenge@mail.nih.gov. We will prioritize these questions during the Q&A portion of the webinar.

While an effort will be made to respond to all questions in the webinar, it is possible that not all questions will be addressed during the event, due to time constraints. All submitted questions, including those not answered during the webinar, and responses, will be posted on the Challenge FAQ page at Challenge.gov.

Participation in this webinar, although encouraged, is optional and is not a requirement of submission eligibility. A recording of the webinar will be posted online. Prospective applicants who are unable to participate in the webinar are encouraged to view the recorded webinar and presentation slides.

Participants requiring a transcript of the webinar should contact NCATSEducationandTrainingChallenge@mail.nih.gov.  The transcript will be available after the recording has posted.
