Purpose

On March 7, 2013, the NIH issued a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), RFA-RM-13-001 "Planning Grants for the NIH Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity (BUILD) Initiative (P20)".

To assist potential applicants, this Notice announces that the following information is now available on the Common Fund Increasing the Diversity of the NIH-Funded Workforce website (http://commonfund.nih.gov/diversity/):

  • A list of FAQs for the BUILD Planning Grant FOA.
  • An archived version of the Technical Assistance Webinar for the BUILD Planning Grant FOA.

FAQs
As a result of discussions with potential applicants, NIH has provided a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and answers. This information may be updated without additional notice. In addition to the FAQs, NIH staff will also respond to questions submitted by potential applicants who contact the program, grants management, and review staff listed in the FOA under the Agency Contacts section.

Technical Assistance Webinar

A Technical Assistance Webinar was held on April 3, 2013 to provide information about the FOA to prospective applicants and answer questions. The webinar slides with audio and closed captioning are now posted on the Common Fund Increasing the Diversity of the NIH-Funded Workforce website. They are also posted on the NIH YouTube webpage (http://www.youtube.com/user/NIHOD).
