ADDENDUM TO RFA-RM-04-005, NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CENTERS FOR NETWORKS AND PATHWAYS PAGE LIMITS AND BUDGET PAGES RELEASE DATE: February 13, 2004 NOTICE: NOT-RM-04-009 National Institutes of Health (NIH) (http://www.nih.gov) This addendum to RFA-RM-04-005, National Technology Centers for Networks and Pathways (at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-RM-04-005.html) which was released in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts on September 30, 2003 gives notice that NIH staff wish to clarify an error and an omission with respect to page limits and budget pages for subprojects. The correct page limits are 25 pages for each of the subprojects in core 1, 25 pages for each DBP in core 2, and 25 pages for each of cores 4, 5, and 6. The page limits for each project in cores 1 and 2 are for the total of sections A through D (specific aims, background and significance, preliminary work, and project design and methods) for the research plan of that project. Cores 3, 4, 5, and 6 may be structured however the applicant deems appropriate, but must be confined to 25 pages each. Applications should contain an overall detailed budget, and projections for the entire project period of five years. Budgets containing the same level of detail, also on form page 4, should be supplied for the following: Each of the technology development projects contained in Core 1, each of the driving biological projects in Core 2, and if not redundant with these two categories, for each consortium or subcontract agreement. Separate budgets should also be included for each of Cores 3, 4, 5, and 6. The budget pages should be presented together. The budget justification should be organized by budget section.
