Purpose

This Notice informs potential applicants of modifications to the description of the Award Information section for PAR-20-297 NIOSH Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health® (U19).
 

The reasons to update the information are described below:

  • NIOSH received a sufficient number of meritorious applications for Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health® to expend all available FY2021 funds.
  • We do not expect additional funds to be available in FY2022 to support additional new Centers.
  • Revision applications from awarded Centers will be accepted for research projects that were not funded in FY2021.
  • The next receipt date for these applications is October 29, 2021.
  • If additional funds should become available, NIOSH may be able to re-open this announcement for resubmission of Center applications not funded in FY2021.

NIOSH is updating the following information of Application Types Allowed in the Award Information section:

After the February 3, 2021 application due date, only Revision and Resubmission applications from the funded centers will be accepted for research projects that competed and were funded in FY2021. New and Renewal applications will not be accepted for future application due dates.

Modified to Read (changes shown in bold italics):

After the February 3, 2021 application due date, only Revision applications from the funded centers will be accepted. New and Renewal center applications will not be accepted for the October 29, 2021 receipt date.

All other aspects of this Funding Opportunity Announcement remain unchanged.
