Purpose

This notice informs interested applicants of the following changes for Revision Applications and applications for new Education and Research Centers.

Revision Applications

Applicants may submit a Revision Application (formerly known as a competing supplement) to expand the scope of their currently funded center. If awarded, the entire Education and Research Center will be administered and managed under the terms and conditions of PAR-15-303 for the remaining project period of the grant or the period of performance awarded.

Applications for New Education and Research Centers (ERCs)

A sufficient number of high-quality applicants received in FY2016 to allow NIOSH to fund 18 ERCs. Applications for FY2017 funding considerations have been received and are pending peer review.

Sufficient funds to support applications for new NIOSH ERCs are not expected to be available in FY2018.

As a result, NIOSH is announcing that applications for new NIOSH ERCs (including resubmissions) will not be accepted for the October 13, 2017 receipt date. Any such applications which are received will not be peer reviewed.

Please note that at this time, this action does not affect receipt dates after 2017.
