Notice Regarding PAR-06-484 Occupational Safety and Health Training Project Grants (T01, T02, T03, T15)

The purpose of this notice is to provide clarification on four items in PAR-06-484:

  • Section I. Funding Opportunity Description - 1. Program Objectives.  Insert the following new 3rd paragraph:  “Partnerships and collaborative relationships are encouraged between Training Project Grants and regional NIOSH-funded Education and Research Center Grantees.  The relationship should be described within the Background section of the application.”
  • Section I. Funding Opportunity Description - 1. Program Objectives, Training Programs.  In the 3rd paragraph, the 2nd sentence is revised to read: “In addition, a TPG is encouraged to have accreditation of the Masters and Bachelors level training programs by applicable recognized specialized accrediting organizations.”
  • Section II. Award Information – 1. Mechanism(s) of Support.  In the 4th paragraph, the following new 4th sentence is inserted:  “New training project grant applicants may request up to three years of support.”
  • Section V. Application Review Information – 2. Review and Selection Process.  The 2nd heading is revised to read “REVIEW CRITERIA FOR TRAINING PROGRAMS”.  Under APPROACH, insert the new 4th sentence as follows:  “Is there evidence of the integration of research experience into the curriculum, and field and clinical experiences?”
