Purpose
The purpose of this notice is to correct the Award Information and Application and Submission Information for PA-27-037, "Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Transition Award (Parent F99/K00 - Clinical Trial Not Allowed)." This will be effective for receipt dates beginning December 8, 2026.
Specifically, the following areas:
- In Section II, the Award Project Period has been revised to state: "Individuals may receive up to five years of aggregate support across both phases, including up to two years at the F99 predoctoral level and up to three years at the K00 postdoctoral level."
- In Section II, the Stipends information has been revised to remove "Kirschstein-NRSA" from the first sentence.
- In Section IV, the SF424(R&R) Other Project Information has been revised to remove the Certification Letter instructions. A Certification Letter is not required for this application.
Changes to the notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) are shown below in bold italics.

Certification Letter
Applicants are required to attach a letter from the institution certifying eligibility of the Fellowship applicant for this program. The certification letter must be on institutional letterhead and scanned so that an institutional official signature is visible. See instructions in the SF424 (R&R) Application Guide.
