Purpose

NIH SEED supports the participation of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) recipients at life science investor and partnering events throughout the year. This program is part of a comprehensive approach NIH has established to enable the commercialization of healthcare technologies and services developed with NIH support.

Matched companies may receive the following benefits:

  • at least one paid registration to attend an investor or partnering event
  • company presentation/pitch opportunity
  • pre-event coaching from life science industry experts
  • access to event partnership facilitation systems
  • exhibition space (virtual and/or real)

Eligibility: Companies must have had active NIH SBIR or STTR funding (grant or contract) within the last 24 months calendar months. For companies with multiple awards, only one project will be considered each year. The program supports over 100 companies each year.

5pm EDT June 07, 2023, is the deadline to request support. Within 3 months of the deadline, SEED will notify all companies if they have been matched to an upcoming showcase event.
