Grants.gov is taking this extended outage to deploy their Release 14.0. Among the changes they plan to deploy is support for the full Unicode character set in the free-form text fields (e.g., Project Title, name, organization name) of their application forms. NIH implemented similar support in May 2014 (NOT-OD-14-071). Following Grants.gov's deployment, both Grants.gov and NIH will support the expanded characters in both free-form text fields and within PDF attachments. See
