The Scientists Center for Animal Welfare (SCAW) will present an IACUC-Advanced workshop on June 4, 2008 in Columbus, Ohio with support from the NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW), the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Ohio State University.
This one-day workshop was developed by SCAW to train individuals concerned with science and appropriate animal welfare. The program is designed for experienced IACUC members and administrators, principal investigators, attending veterinarians, regulatory personnel and laboratory animal care staff. The regional workshop format provides an opportunity for small groups to discuss specific, advanced topics that are relevant to IACUC functions. Each workshop is customized to meet the needs of the local community.
The workshop will be held June 4, 2008 at the Blackwell Hotel & Conference Center on the Ohio State University Campus.
