IACUC 101

IACUC 101 is a full day didactic and interactive training program designed to provide Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) members, administrators, veterinarians, animal care staff, researchers, regulatory personnel and compliance officers with information on the role and responsibilities of IACUCs, including an understanding of federal policies and regulations governing laboratory animal welfare.

PRIM&R 2008 Annual IACUC Conference - Ethics and Compliance in Animal Care and Use Programs: Current Challenges and Future Directions

The PRIM&R two-day conference will include seven plenary sessions and four series of breakout sessions with 20 different workshops and/or didactic sessions offered within each set.  The program is designed to help build and strengthen an effective animal care and use program.  Attendees will learn concrete ways to improve communication and collaboration so as to achieve programmatic integration and enhanced convergence throughout an institution’s animal program.  Take-home tools will be abundant, as PRIM&R’s meetings are known for their practical and otherwise “hands on” approach to education, institutional policy development, and to creating efficient, effective, and ethically sufficient procedures. In short, the meeting will offer concrete strategies for dealing with both late-breaking and longstanding challenges.

Who should attend?
